My name is Mario Mendoza. I’m a photographer, mentor, creative entrepreneur, and founder of KAIT Studios based in Fittja, Botkyrka, Sweden. My mission is to make a positive impact to reshape perceptions, uplift communities, and celebrate diversity through creativity.

MY JOURNEY

My passion for photography began when I bought a camera for my mother with student loan money. Years later, picking it up myself became the spark for my creative journey.

After high school I wasn’t sure of my direction, but a friend encouraged me to shoot. This turned photography into a way of expressing identity, community, and emotion.

EXHIBITIONS & CREATIVE PROJECTS

Mi Barrio  My first solo photo exhibition at Lokalen23, Botkyrka Konsthall. Through images of Fittja, I challenge stereotypes and show everyday life from the inside.

Mi Amor Por La Cultura Latina  An exhibition and creative project celebrating Latin American culture, organized through KAIT Studios with support from Puma Nordic.

Women In Music  A collaborative exhibition by Paulina Thorén. I filmed the portrait videos that introduced and highlighted women in the music industry, aiming to raise visibility and recognition.

MENTORSHIPS & TALKS

I’ve held over 8 workshops and 6 inspirational talks on photography, creativity, and community-building. One of my key strengths is bringing people together creating spaces where ideas, stories, and cultures can meet and grow.

I’m part of Mentor Sverige’s program Digi, Photo & Film: Everything You Wanted to Know (But Never Dared to Ask), where I teach both the craft and the mindset behind meaningful creative work.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

I co-founded KAIT Studios to build a platform for artists and storytellers to collaborate and grow. As a creative entrepreneur, I combine production, mentorship, and community-building to develop projects that empower others and showcase underrepresented stories.
